NDC/eb4U Board

Throughout the NDC programme there has always been a Board responsible for its overall strategy and delivery. The individuals and total numbers of people on this Board have changed depending on the size of the programme being delivered, but there has always been a majority of residents and places reserved for all the different estates that make up the NDC area.

The Resident Board Directors in the NDC programme were part of the way in which local people were in control of the way priorities were decided and money was allocated. Local elections were used on different occasions to elect residents to the Board.

Partner Directors were appointed and represented the organisations who were our key parters, including

  • Local businesses,
  • Education
  • Sussex Police
  • Primary Care Trust and
  • Brighton & Hove City Council.

The name of the Board changed, reflecting the name used to describe the NDC programme, but its role has been broadly the same since the start. Between 1999 and 2002 the Board was known as the Partnership Board. Then it became the eb4U Board, and finally from 2007 it was once again called the NDC Partnership, to reflect the separation of the NDC programme and the Company which manages the assets.
